What if the words “Insurance”, “Medicare” and “Healthcare” put a smile on your face? For almost a decade working with seniors in the healthcare sector, I have successfully helped hundreds achieve this experience. 

Since graduating with a Master’s degree in Social Work in 2016 with a focus on gerontology and health care management, I have garnered experience from the inside out. Working as an independent health insurance broker, then as a social worker, and later as an administrator at nursing homes for over five years, I was involved with the process of helping hundreds of clients and patients navigate health insurance and the healthcare system. 

Gaining exposure from both a provider’s perspective and as a health insurance broker, I often noticed that Medicare beneficiaries were in need of a more comprehensive understanding of which plan to select. They also have benefited from receiving ongoing guidance to maximize their coverage and benefits. I understand what it’s like to be on both ends of the system, and have the tools to help clients and patients navigate the Medicare field. 

Over half a decade ago, I began experiencing health issues and was diagnosed with a chronic autoimmune condition. This forced me to search for my own quality healthcare and health insurance. Sifting through brokers and insurance plans proved to be a tedious and difficult process until I eventually found something viable. Why should others – especially seniors – go through the same obstacles? I’m passionate about sharing my personal and professional journey, and using first-hand understanding of the health care system towards helping others have a more positive and successful experience. 

I can relate to the struggle and uniqueness of the aging process. Our bodies and health inevitably change as we get older.
